Could the Lord be calling YOU to Uganda?

A Mission of Love in East Africa...

The Ankole Mission Team arrived in Mbarara, Uganda in the fall of 1997 to begin an indigenous church-planting ministry among the Ankole people. Twenty young churches and 800 Christians later, by the power and blessings of God, the vision of developing a healthy movement of churches that can thrive on their own is becoming a reality.

A Growing Need...

As God’s kingdom spreads among the Ankole people, the need for more and more workers increases. The Ankole Mission Team is sending out an invitation to committed Christians seeking an opportunity to serve in a mission field ripe for the harvest.

Listed below are a few of the missionary positions waiting to be filled:

Rural Evangelists * Urban Evangelists * Youth Ministers (Rural/Urban)

Leadership Training Coordinators and Teachers * Children's Ministers

Medical Missionaries * Agricultural Specialists * Computer Specialists

Elementary School Teachers to teach missionary children

Mission Interns willing to serve for six months to two years

Why Serve the Ankole People?

The Ankole people group in southwestern Uganda, numbering approximately two and a half million, occupies an area about the size of New Jersey.  The team’s first few years among the Ankole have shown this people group to be very receptive to the life-giving message of Jesus Christ. A church-planting movement has begun and must be nurtured to spiritual maturity before a missionary presence is no longer needed.  In addition to continued leadership training and the maturation of the current churches, initial church planting is still needed in many new areas.  Those who join the team will have the benefit of an established foundation as they continue and expand the work among the Ankole people.  The current team’s desire is to work together with the new team members to ensure a smooth transition.

A Place For You...

Could there be a place for you on the Ankole Mission Team, and in the hearts and lives of the Ankole people?  If your interests, talents, and experience lead you to entertain the possibility, then the Ankole Mission Team is very interested in corresponding with you.
